How to Take Your Dreams from Potential to Fulfillment Stage
I just got back from vacation with my family and proudly watched my daughter graduate with her Masters degree this month.
I so loved spending uninterrupted time with our family as we hiked, went to the zoo, whale-watched, and just spent time around the fire as we camped.
I hope that you get away with those you love or just with you to explore the beauty of God’s nature and see the majesty of His creation this summer.
Along with family vacation time, summer for most of us, can be a time of reflection, where we assess where we are, where we’re going, and what God is saying over our lives.
In light of this, during these next two weeks, I want to help you look at some key concepts that I believe will help you take steps towards fulfillment in life through my newsletters.
Part 1- Week One
Take time alone this week and reflect on how far you’ve come and who you are authentically by answering these questions in your journal.
Life Purpose Analysis
How have you grown in this past season? What are your highlights and breakthroughs? It’s important for us to celebrate how far we’ve come.
What do you dream about doing that is connected to your desires and brings you joy?
Answer the following statement: “I feel the most alive when I ...”
What are you doing on a consistent basis to move towards your dreams?
What keeps you back from taking steps towards your dreams? There could be roadblocks like fear of failure, comparison, procrastination, not having time, lack of clarity and purpose, or not knowing how…
Being honest and vulnerable
Let’s face it, a lot of us have dreams of one day seeing our book on Amazon, our art in a galleries or Etsy, our ideas germinate into a podcast, our songs become popular, or our creative ideas take flight, but to see that happen, we have to find out where we are REALLY at and assess how we are going to get there.
Action Plan this Week:
Speak to God
Jesus asked people, “What do you want me to do for you?” repeatedly. Why? He wanted to find out what their dream was and if it was to be healed, set free, to become His disciple.
So, after you take time to answer these questions, spend some time with God and share with Him what you need and what your dreams and desires are- just like Abram shared with God about his dream was to have a son.
Speak to yourself
If you are going to go after your dreams and passion, you cannot move forward if you are constantly doubting yourself.
If you live in conflict within, then you may be sabotaging your future. In other words, if you say you can’t – then you most likely, won’t.
I have found that writing out I AM statements about who you are from God’s perspective and who you are called to be through His strength then your agreement will start you on your journey of going after your dreams.
Remember, you are born to create to transform the world,
