The Power of Mothers in Our Lives

A lot of us can remember when our own mother or a spiritual mom impacted our lives and changed the way we viewed ourselves.

I wanted to share with you stories about how my Mom impacted me when I was growing up and how she solidified my calling to be a creative revivalist. Then, I want to give you a blessing as a Mom in revival myself.

My Mom had a supernatural anointing to create in EVERYTHING! She was an incredible artist, sculptor, seamstress, singer, musician, dancer, and dramatist.

The minute she gave me oil pastels and a brush, I knew that she had placed the soil of her passion to create within me. This has never left me. Thank You Mom!

She also had an incredible passion for Jesus, which motivated her to start the charismatic movement in our city, Reno, NV. It launched me into my calling as a revivalist.

Here is a Crazy God Story About my Mom

My husband Kevin and I had just gotten married at 20 years of age and were in Bible college in Los Angeles at the time this crazy story transpired.

My Mom and their Christian community had just put on a Passion Play for Easter at the Maximum Security Men’s Prison in Carson City, Nevada the day before Easter.

At the end of the play, two men put a knife to my sister’s throat who was 16 years old and demanded everyone to leave and that they were taking her as hostage.

My Mom reacted quickly and said that she would not leave her daughter, so they allowed her to stay. In a panic, the national guard was called in and troops were being sent to the prison as the news spread.

In that moment, my Mom convinced the prisoners to put down their knife and to listen to a song she had written. As she sang and played the guitar, they began to calm down and she began to share with them about the love of Jesus! And yes, at the end of the conversation, she led them to the Lord!

If that wasn’t enough, she also convinced them to surrender and that she would help them with their grievances. Instead of tear gas and a fight, they came out as a new person in Christ and really got the help they needed.

The next day, Easter Sunday, my uncle called me and said, “Go get a newspaper, your Mom is on the front page of the LA Times!" As I ran to the store and got a newspaper, my Mom's face was staring back at me!

My Mom was exiting the prison with the cross from the Passion Play being carried over her shoulder with the words: “Resurrection Story” on the FRONT PAGE!

Yes, I was shocked, but not surprised.. that's exactly what my Mom was like- a creative revivalist! Thanks MOM!

ARE YOU READY TO RECEIVE A MOTHER’S BLESSING?

So, I have gone on crazy God adventures just like my Mom and painted my way across different regions of the world, praying, prophesying and leading people to Jesus and it all started with an impartation from my Mom!

In the same way, I would like to give you an impartation this Mother’s Day to be a crazy creative revivalist who will lead people to Christ and create LIFE where people are in prison to their own defeating beliefs or pain.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Remember, that we carry the future in our arms and that we are the ones who raise up the next generations to do wild and crazy things for JESUS!

Let’s GO!
