Have You Found Your Promised Land?
As you know, I have been raising up Kingdom Creatives for the last 25 years and as the month of May peeks her head around the corner, I am filled with awe; not just by the beautiful flowers growing along the hillsides where I live, but by the beauty that I see in my students, who present their Dream and Essence personal projects to my team and I.
It was such a proud moment for me, being a mother in creativity to watch the dreams of students who have been with me 1-5 years share who they are and want to be in life, which is based upon God’s encounters with them and their journey to become all that God has called them to be.
My Mentors just shared their Essence Project today and I was overwhelmed and touched.
What is an Essence Project?
It’s a 9 month journey of finding out who you are as you filter through the layers of your life.
It’s like the unraveling of an onion until you reach dead center to the essence or when you bite into an apple until you get to the seeds.
It’s that thing you burn for that you cannot shake no matter how much rejection or fear of failure comes knocking on your door.
It’s the essence of your design, woven together by the Creator of the universe.
In hearing about how God has designed and built them uniquely, I couldn’t help thinking about how many people may have missed the opportunity to find out WHO God has designed them to be-that could be you or someone you love.
Have YOU found your ESSENCE?
If we don’t take time with Father God to ask Him who we are and follow along life’s path to discover the breadcrumbs He has left us, we may never ever find the “Essence” of who we have been created to be.
That would be sad to me, if you never found out the core purpose of your destiny.
I believe this is what the enemy tries to steal from the sons and daughters of God.
The enemy is constantly trying to whisper in our ears, “Did God REALLY say that? I mean you need to do this or that or lie or compromise or compare because that’s Way too BIG for you. What if you fail? Look at how old you are? Wait until you’re ready…”
Do those voices sound familiar?
Deep down we need to let Faith’s Voice break off these defeating mindsets.
If God gave us a dream, then He has given us the means through dependence on Him to release the ESSENCE of who we are.
I love flowers and the process of their bloom phase when they open up to the sun and open up their petals until the inside is visible for us to see. This is when their true beauty is revealed and the sweet fragrance within fills the air.
PROCESS and PERSPECTIVE
I believe God wants to give you a NEW perspective about who you are based upon the Father’s whispers and longings over the years you’ve been alive. All of you, like me, are in a process of revealing our “Essence” to the world around us.
It all depends on whether we look at ourselves from a perspective or lack or God’s Identity perspective.
Let’s look at Joshua and Caleb’s journey as an example. Moses sent them in to the Promised Land, along with 10 other spies to see whether the land truly was full of abundance.
They all came back with a report that it definitely was a land flowing with milk and honey, but the other 10 spies saw themselves as grasshoppers next to the other tribes that were inhabiting the land and shrunk back in fear.
Joshua and Caleb had a different report because they saw themselves differently. They knew their Essence and Destiny was tied to God’s design to give them the promised land as an inheritance.
Where do you see yourself in this story?
Has doubt or fear derailed you from your destiny?
In Numbers 13, the Promised Land was waiting for them- a land of abundance and fruitfulness and God would help them defeat ANY enemy, and yet they saw themselves as grasshoppers and failures because they still had a slaves mentality.
I believe there is a change coming for you!
Don’t let fear stop or rule over you anymore! It’s time to get your breakthrough!
