Breaking Off The Spirit Of Fear and Anxiety

Do you remember what life was like BEFORE the internet? I know I do. Life was simple and uncomplicated. How close did you feel in your relationships? How much time did you spend just enjoying life, eating a meal together with those you love (without checking your phone), or a taking a walk with your dog or close friend?

Then life as we know it came crashing down and fear came to all our doors in 2020. The spirit of fear through Covid spread globally and we were fixated on the fear of death, disease, vaccines, masks, and how each state or country was handling the crisis.

It literally affected almost everyone and brought a spirit of foreboding and a spirit of distrust in government regulations at the expense of everyone’s personal freedoms to handle this virus personally.

For instance, during Covid, I have one friend who couldn’t see her husband in the hospital because she wouldn’t take the vaccine, who ended up never being able to see her husband because he died in the hospital. They had been married close to 50 years.

And now currently, there are other attacks coming upon us through news feeds, cover ups, and we are left trying to navigate through so many differing voices telling us who to hate and who is at fault. And the news feeds go on… and on... and on... and on…

What’s happening to our mental health?

Let’s take a look at just the United States:

Anxiety in U.S. Adults

  • About 19.1% of U.S. adults had an anxiety disorder in the past year.

  • Roughly 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience anxiety significant enough to impact daily life annually.

Chronic Stress

  • Surveys indicate that 60% of U.S. adults report experiencing chronic stress, with about 22% saying it often or very often interferes with everyday life

The Cycle of Impending Doom

When people have stressors one after another and then open up their phone to hear about more bad news or other betrayals of those they thought they could trust, our bodies and minds begin to shut down.

We can’t take the stress, so we start to numb out through scrolling on our phone, overeating, addictive behavior, or compulsive patterns in order to cope.

I don’t know about you, but I have felt this – especially with what’s been happening with the charismatic movement videos, the Epstein files, and the way our culture is normalizing hate mob take overs.

What or rather WHO can help us?

Jessika Tate's Story of Healing from PTSD

Jessika Tate, whom I discipled had severe trauma, so much so that she was suicidal, was on heavy medication, and had given up on ever getting better. She was in a prayer meeting where one of my dancers would attend and as Jessika told her story of impending doom as she had worked with children in war torn countries, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

Katerina (my dancer in ministry) asked if she could release God’s Presence and dance over her for healing. Jessika felt embarrassed, but said okay because she had already tried everything else.

As Katerina danced, Jessika felt the spirit of death and fear leave—and from that moment on she was healed! She has written the book “Trials to Triumph” about her story, which you can get on Amazon.

Create To Be Free—A Journey Through Art in Healing

As we got connected, Jessika came with me to the Philippines, where we saw so many people get healed through creating art to deal with their trauma, which is similar to how she was healed through God’s presence in dance.

I started this program through my invitation to go to Rwanda to work with the Genocide orphans in 2011 and now this program is going around the world. In fact, just this week, I was able to take this program into a clinic who is helping young women choose life rather than choose abortion and it was so powerful to see how God can heal the brokenhearted and restore hearts.
