Many of us, think that our creativity in becoming excellent and being known is prideful and not what God would want.

We have grown up in a religious culture where we have been taught, or we've seen it modeled, that any kind of giftings we have should be kept to ourselves lest we become prideful or our success could take away from the glory of God.

WHAT???

Let’s think this through…

Can you imagine if the Gospel writers were afraid of sharing their writings?

If Michael Angelo covered up his work of the Sistine Chapel because he thought it would detract from the glory of God?

What if David had never recorded a Psalm or put it to music because of fear of being prideful?

What if John Newton had never shared his song, “Amazing Grace” with the rest of the world?

No, No, No, No!

When we create beautiful things in business, arts and entertainment, ministry, or any other sphere of influence - God not only wants us to succeed, but to thrive because we are His kids.

If God never hides sunsets from us when He creates, why would He want His kids to hide what they have created that tells the story of His love through them?

It’s time for us to BECOME THE INFLUENCERS OF CULTURE through what we create uniquely with the Creator of the Universe, and not throw away our calling and gifting because of a false religious mindset.

Let’s read Matthew 5:14-16:

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
