What Boulder Are You Trying To Move?

For over 50 days, my husband, Kevin, and I (and of course our dog, Kai) have been waiting to get into our new home in Redding, CA.

It felt like we were trying to move a humungous boulder. No matter how much we wanted that boulder to MOVE, we had to wait for God’s timing.

How did we do that?

✅ Trust in the Lord:

“Trust in the Lord with ALL of your heart and LEAN not on your own understanding, in all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6

You can’t lean on your own strength or understanding to remove the boulders that are in your path- you have to wait for God to MAKE A WAY and give you PATIENCE.

✅ Rely on Community and One Another:

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

I am so grateful for my friends and family who supported us during our transition time and gave us encouragement to not give up. I can hear their voices saying, “You are almost there!” It’s vital to have people that the end goal, when all you see is the boulder looming in front of you!

✅ Stay the Course and Remember God’s Timing is Perfect:

“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.” Ecc. 3:11

We have been waiting over 50 days to get into our new home and on Sept 1st – we will get our keys and move in! For the last two months, God has been moving in us to build our character and endurance, just as much as He has been preparing our new home.

Moving the Boulders in Your Life
