Unearth The Greatness That Lies Within
I am a student of greatness in others. It’s why I went to college and became a pastor, planted a church with my husband in the 90's, and then was on staff at Bethel Church/Redding for over 19 years, overseeing programs at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and leading the Creative Arts Movement.
I believe there is something within us that has to be unearthed, a seed planted in the heart of every human being that is waiting to burst forth to give glory back to God.
I want to talk to you about how we discover and develop that greatness within.
We do it by being around people who have gone before us and who have taken risks to get to where we want to go. As the disciples said yes and followed Jesus, each one began to see God’s call on their lives and unearthed the gifts within that started Christianity.
We are no different.
It’s such an awesome privilege to help people discover who they are meant to be and then give them wings to try and then fly. It’s what I love most about what we do in Create Academy and I believe this is one of my chief callings in life.
This unearthing and cultivating of the message within each person can lay dormant and sadly can stay hidden for a person’s whole life.
I’ve seen this and it is a great loss both to God, oneself, and to the way God has formed us to impact the world around us. But that doesn’t have to be you.
You see, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve been given or the favor God has bestowed on you unless you use it or take a risk.
It’s like the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30, when the Master gave his servants talents and then went away on a trip. After a long time, he returned and saw that two of the servants had taken risks and grown what they had been given, while the one given one talent buried it because he was afraid of disappointing the Master.
If fear rules us and if we equate God as a punishing taskmaster, we will never move forward to unearth the desires of our heart and grow the gifts we’ve been given. By the way, that talent was taken from him and given to someone else.
IF NOT NOW- WHEN?
My dear friends, I do not want you to live in fear or “what if’s” that will sabotage the greatness that lies within. Rather, I want you to take a risk and explore the gifts that God has given you.
I want to ask you to STOP PROCRASTINATING, MAKING EXCUSES, or waiting for the RIGHT TIME- because NOW IS THE TIME. If you don’t do it- when will you?
Find out WHO YOU ARE and take a leap of faith.
Greatness lies within. Your time has come to arise and discover who you are!
TAKE IT!
