Take A Walk With Me

My family and I love to go for walks. 

In fact, my 10 year-old granddaughter, Brielle usually takes a walk with me at 6:15 am in the morning 3-4 times a week.

Yup, she’s a typical adventure-style Dedmon.

We have found people that walk at that time in our neighborhood whom we have ministered to. We also share about what we are grateful for and pray for the day.

I never had that when I was young, but I get to pass that on to my granddaughter, so that she remembers who I am not just ministering on Sundays, but what I model in my lifestyle.

Your heavenly Father is like that.  He wants to walk with you throughout different seasons of your life, so that you are never alone. He also invites other people to walk alongside us, so that they can reveal His love to us.

TAKE A WALK WITH GOD

One of the most profound truths that has changed my life is the fact that Father God loves to BE with me and walk alongside me during the ups and downs of life.

He brought a revivalist named Leif Hetland into my life who has taught me about the Father’s love and healed me of an orphan spirit. Here is a quote from one of his books:

“I live my life for a face-to-face encounter with my Heavenly Father. When I become overwhelmed with the pressure and demands of life, I crawl up into my Father’s lap and gaze into His eyes. I live life by the principal that I am a little boy with a big Papa. We can live from one of two perspectives – big problems… little Papa, or big Papa… little problems.” — Healing the Orphan Spirit 

I want to encourage you to take time this week and crawl up into Papa God’s lap, so that you know that HE approves of you and wants you close to His heart.

Remember, before Jesus performed any miracles, during His baptism the Father said, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased.”  This means that the Father approved of Him before He DID anything or performed any miracles.

I want to encourage you to take 5-10 minutes out of your day and get alone and ask Father God, “Do you approve of me?  Do you like me?  Am I enough to be loved?”  Let Papa God AFFIRM your destiny today.

TAKE A WALK TO AWAKEN YOUR DESTINY 

My life was forever changed when I came to Bethel in 2002 and learned to walk in God’s acceptance and love.  I let go of pastoring, which I had been doing for the past 15 years and attended the Bethel’s Supernatural School of Ministry and let God love me not because I was a pastor, but because I was His daughter. This profoundly impacted my life.

This is when I received my prophetic word about starting a creative worldwide movement. It is my honor and great privilege to invite you to walk with me and for God to awaken YOU to feel that same way. 

In Genesis 1:27, the Bible says we are made in His image and if His first act was creating, than what is His plan for you as His child?

Creativity is IN your DNA and it’s up to you to find it. If you don’t know FEEL you are loved, it will be hard for you to create FROM love, rather than FOR love.

So, whatever you do- keep walking out your destiny with your family, like I do in the morning and letting the Father love you for who you truly are!
