What Dream Has God Placed Inside You?
Have you ever felt a stirring in your heart for something more?
Maybe it's a book you want to write, a ministry you want to start, an art business you've dreamed about, a healing journey you know God is inviting you into, or simply a desire to make a greater impact in the lives of others.
The truth is, God is a Dream-Giver, but we need to be obedient to His prompting.
If It Happened to Serenity - What About YOU?
Let’s look at one of my Kingdom Creative Movement (KCM) student’s story, Serenity Melnick. who just graduated from our KCM Leadership Academy, our second level program to see what is possible and to inspire you with your dreams:
“Next week I’m going to be the guest speaker at my church. In the past few months, I’ve given prophetic words from the stage, given away prophetic art pieces that I’ve created and even taught a prophetic art workshop.
Two and a half years ago I didn’t believe that I was capable of public speaking nor had I ever even picked up a paintbrush!
I joined Create Academy (now KCM Thrive Life) in February of 2024. I was newly postpartum with twin boys and starting to feel the familiar heaviness of postpartum depression. I jumped into KCM and found myself starting the Create 28 with my new KCM Thrive Life Small Group.
I bought a pan of watercolors and paper off Amazon and started doing the lessons. I created my very first art piece for a friend who had just lost her husband. God gave me a simple message for her, “there is still beauty in your future.” With fear and trembling and a little embarrassment about the “quality” of my card I was obedient and gave it to her.
That one act of obedience became the catalyst for God setting me on a whole new track. This last year, I completed my KCM Leadership Academy and after two years with KCM, I have created art and given it away as God leads. I’ve given art and prophetic words to strangers in airports, in parking lots, at my church, in restaurants and even at a homeless camp.
From those small acts of obedience, God has opened incredible doors for me. He has increased my art and my influence and given me a voice to speak in my church and my community. I’m so thankful for Theresa and KCM and the ways that I have grown in my faith and most importantly my identity. Create 28 and KCM absolutely changed my life! God is so good.”
Not only has she seen growth personally, but her family has been radically transformed. Her three-year-old twin boys paint with God and say these declarations daily.
Who Is Helping You Discover God's Dreams?
Throughout Scripture, God placed dreams, visions, and assignments inside ordinary people and then walked with them as those dreams unfolded. Moses carried a dream of freedom for God's people. David carried a dream of serving God's purposes. Esther carried a dream that would save a nation. Nehemiah carried a dream to rebuild what had been broken.
But none of them stepped into their destiny overnight.
Their journey required faith, curiosity, ownership, perseverance, and most importantly, the Presence of God.
I've discovered the same thing in my own life. Many of the opportunities, ministries, books, conferences, and creative projects I've had the privilege to lead began as a small stirring in my heart. At first, I didn't have all the answers. I simply learned to say "yes" to God one step at a time, like Serenity did. And thank God, I had mentors and a strong viable community to support me in my journey when I was insecure and unsure of my footing.
His Presence became my guide, His voice became my confidence, and His faithfulness carried me through seasons of uncertainty.
Perhaps you're standing in that place today.
The question isn't whether God has a purpose for your life.
The question is: Are you ready to take the next step toward it?
