How Are Giant Slayers Made?

How Are Giant Slayers Made?

How are Giant Slayers Made?

It’s crazy that a teenager named David was the only one who had the courage to fight and kill a giant when all the fiercest warriors were afraid (I Sam. 17). Courage and having faith like David are the key ingredients for raising up children and youth to slay giants that stand up against them in the cultural pressures and wars that are now raging around the world for their identity.

Let me share with you what made me a giant killer when I was young.

Trusting in the Cure

Trusting in the Cure

As creatives around the world, I want to dedicate this blog to you and to let you know that the role you have in your country, city, and community will be key for how God’s message of hope can be translated for people to grab on to who don’t know God’s security or nature during times of crisis.

You may be reeling yourself, or may be affected by all the fear and uncertainty that is coming across in the news yourself. I want to encourage you today that He will help you through this.

Wherever you are I pray you don’t listen to the enemy’s plan to create massive fear, but rather turn your affection on the One who has the cure. God is love and perfect love casts out fear.

I wanted to share some pivotal ways that I am cultivating faith both personally and with my creative team at this time. I wanted to see if you would join me so that we can start a campaign on what we believe so that hope can rise up in this moment of crisis.

Face to Face with the Fear of Failure

Face to Face with the Fear of Failure

Fear is afraid, so it speaks. A lot of the time, we listen to its lies and become so frustrated with the creative process that we just stop and we don’t bother trying anymore. This was me and my relationship with creativity up until a few months ago. You see, I used to be best friends with the fear of failure—even the fear of perfection. Breaking up with fear can be terrifying, but it is worth it to see what awaits on the other side.

Keys to Cultivating Thankfulness

Keys to Cultivating Thankfulness

Whatever we focus on, we have to have- like revival.  It’s funny how I go into the stores around the holidays, see the traditional foods for our American Thanksgiving dinner, and I just have to get it all! Why? Because I want to bless my family with all of their favorite dishes (and mine too)!

We are wired for remembering special events through the creative traditions we keep during the holiday season and I am so thankful because these traditions point to how extravagantly God loves us! Wherever I am, I am struck by His hand at work. How grateful I am for His generosity and care!

How can I create with the Holy Spirit?

How can I create with the Holy Spirit?

One man named David had a severe sporting injury when he was 18 years of age and had only 20% ability to breathe. They had tried to reconstruct his nose, but it was still crooked and smashed on one side. After he looked at the painting, he went back to his seat and his wife said, “David your nose is straight!” He went to the bathroom and sure enough, his nose was perfect! All of the discomfort was gone and he could breathe clearly for the first time in 45 years!

Why Do You Create?

Why Do You Create?

All of us have a story.  We have experienced life that has probably thrown us curve balls and challenges to who we are, challenges that have marked us in our creative journey.

In my life, I suffered with a high level of religious abuse, where I was taught that taking care of myself was selfish and that God wanted me to sacrifice everything- and I mean everything- so that I could please Him and live a God-filled life.

School of Creativity - Family of One

School of Creativity - Family of One

Massive upgrade

We experienced so much extravagant love from the Father during the School of Creativity

that everyone was significantly touched, both those who streamed live and those who came as our honored guests.

One of the greatest treasures, which our guests shared on their feedback forms was that this was an immersive school, where they were able to activate creatively in workshops and interactive booths, as well as receive from our teams during breaks in creative booths, critiques, and other activities throughout our campus.

Trusting Your Inner Voice

Trusting Your Inner Voice

Today, take a moment and think about how you can lead the crowd. It doesn’t mean that you have to shout or sing at the top of your lungs. It means not being willing to allow fear to silence you. It means breaking the silence even with a whisper.

I never want to be the one to think my voice isn’t worth being heard because the one who created the stars and universe is waiting to hear it!

5 Ways To Be A Creative Change Agent

5 Ways To Be A Creative Change Agent

We all have countless people who have fought for us to enjoy so many creative things because they took a risk- so let’s do the same for those who are right beside us or behind us!

We are part of God’s family and He wants creatives to become the influencers that shape history.

The Profound Impact of Vulnerability in our Creative Process

The Profound Impact of Vulnerability in our Creative Process

Being vulnerable with God and others allows us to care for ourselves with the same love and compassion that He does.

Psalm 139 already gives us the understanding of how He knit us together in our mother’s womb for a creative purpose that we alone can fulfill.  I pray that you become vulnerable and open with His pruning, so that you can see what’s behind the lies or behavior that has stunted you from abundant living.

Savor the Wonder of Christmas

Savor the Wonder of Christmas

During this Christmas season, I want to encourage you to take time to reflect on all the wonders and gifts God has given you that spark the wonder of being His kid.

Thank Him for your family, friends, experiences, and blessings.  Recount how many times He has answered prayer when you thought it was hopeless. But most of all, let’s be thankful for the wonder of knowing Him in all of the different forms and ways that He has reveals Himself to us.

Overcoming Fear To Express Your Creative Voice

Overcoming Fear To Express Your Creative Voice

Anxiety over feeling inadequate (not enough) can silence our creativity, debilitating our destiny in who we are created to be as Creatives.

Being intimate and close with God breaks off anxiety and fear, releasing us to create and move forward in our creative calling.

Creators of Light

Creators of Light

As children of light we get to let the God of compassion fuel us into action as we believe that who we are and what we have matters. Our creativity in the hands of God can cause a ripple effect that fills the greatest need and overcome the powers of evil.

What if there’s a song inside you for someone struggling with depression? A dance waiting to be choreographed that displays true love? What does being a child of light mean to a world looking for hope?

Words Matter

Words Matter

Words are so important in how we are molded according to our destiny, which is why the Israelites gave so much attention to naming their children in the Old Testament.

It’s incredible how we co-create with God even in birth.  God creates man in the womb, which is hidden from view, but then we get to declare identity and destiny through the names we choose when our children enter the world.

Today, God wants to breathe life into your identity with words of truth and affirmation about your destiny.

5 Creative Ways To Get Through Adversity

5 Creative Ways To Get Through Adversity

I want to encourage you to let God in to your pain and let Him speak creatively to you through what others create and how you can create.

Redemption and restoration is a promise you can creatively declare today for whatever traumas you are facing today or in the future, knowing that my testimony can be your testimony, no matter how dark your season is presently.

The Art Of Dreaming

The Art Of Dreaming

We can literally dream our way to our destiny.  Our dreams can change us, and the world around us.

Helen Keller observed that, “The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight but no vision.”

Dreaming is simply envisioning the possibilities for the impossible to become possible.

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and changed the world.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Walt Disney said, “If you can dream it you can do it.” He also believed that, “All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”

The Confidence That Creates Miracles

The Confidence That Creates Miracles

We were in Africa and had just witnessed an entire church get healed of all kinds of diseases. It was like straight out of Acts. My eyeballs questioned the miracles I saw. Medically impossible things happening by the minute. When we were done that night I looked at my friend Rex Crain and said, "Wow, that was amazing!"

He looked me straight in the eye and said, "Annette, you can do everything I can do. You have the same Jesus living inside you."

Creating in the Midst of Conflict, Busyness, and Difficulty

Creating in the Midst of Conflict, Busyness, and Difficulty

All of us face various difficulties, challenges, and obstacles that we have to navigate throughout the process of fulfilling our creative destiny.

The world, with its many pressures, family life, jobs, personal struggles, and other outside pressures can take a toll on our desire to move forward to achieve our creative dreams.

Kingdom creators are real people with real problems and struggles in every sphere of life.
