As summer begins to wind down, we are nearing the beginning of a new season, fresh with possibilities and moving forward towards a great awakening because of the pressing needs that are being confronted because of a godless culture that is collapsing before our very eyes.

It’s crazy that a teenager named David was the only one who had the courage to fight and kill a giant when all the fiercest warriors were afraid (I Sam. 17). Courage and having faith like David are the key ingredients for raising up children and youth to slay giants that stand up against them in the cultural pressures and wars that are now raging around the world for their identity.
Let me share with you what made me a giant killer when I was young.

On all three floors, people could read their bios, see their photos, and then admire their portrait. As the black cloths were unveiled and each hero read and saw their impact on this city, a wave of honor, kindness, and generosity swept into our government halls, echoing to the fabric of our city’s call that we have overcome and become Redding Strong.

Many of us may hear news about fires from a safe distance through television or social media, but when it attacks your city, and literally comes a few miles from your home, you begin to understand how a fire, or any catastrophic event, can incite trauma, fear, and the anxiety within a city, neighborhood, or family.
Or it can bring us closer together.
It’s crazy how communities come together through celebration. All of heaven is still celebrating and worshipping Jesus for His triumph over the enemy, death, and sin.
All of the Angels in heaven celebrate when one person turns to Jesus (Luke 15:10).
Our responsibility is to bring heaven to earth, so let the celebration begin!
