Using GPS (God’s Positioning System) To Reach Your Creativity Destiny

Most of us have experienced exasperation when trying to find a new destination using our GPS when we have not typed in the exact address, and have ended up going way (and I mean way) out of our way.

In the same way, many of us may have tried moving forward towards fulfilling our creative destiny only to find that we are more frustrated than before we started.

Let’s find out how we can find the right GPS coordinates so that we can move forward towards our creative call.

Ask For The Right Address

Just because someone else is successfully traveling in a certain direction doesn’t mean that we should follow.  Each one of us has a unique calling, and our directions will be different depending upon the destiny God has for us.

Finding our destiny is a walk of faith, allowing God to specifically direct us towards the good plans and purposes He has for us.

Solomon summarizes this process best when he encourages,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:5,6).

I have found that when I trust in God’s leading, I end up at the right destination in seeing my creative destiny fulfilled.

When all else fails- trust His GPS voice over your limited understanding.

Recognizing God’s Voice Enables Us To Get Started

When I was around five years old, I had an encounter with God on my front porch that set me on a journey towards my creative destiny.

In that moment, I knew I would grow up to be a pastor and a teacher.

The voice I heard that day enabled me to embark on an adventure that I would have never considered before that day.

Hearing from God regarding your life purpose will be the most important factor in fulfilling your creative destiny.

Knowing God’s call on your life is the foundation to build the framework of your life.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice (John 10:27)”.

Before we can follow God’s plans for our life, we must wait until we hear His voice loud and clear, even though this may take time.

I have always made it my goal to discern God’s voice throughout my journey to ensure that I am on the right track.

Obeying God’s Voice Keeps Us Going In The Right Direction

Sometimes, I make the mistake of thinking that I know how to get to where I want to go more than the GPS.

Inevitably, I realize that the GPS knew information that I was not aware of when I made the decision to deviate from the directions Siri gave me.  I can only shake my head, vowing to obey next time, as I am sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic because of the roadwork that I was unaware of.

God is always trying to get our attention to take the best route to our destiny, but it is up to us to obey, even when it seems like God is leading us the wrong way.

Jesus said, “Happy are those who hear the word of God, and obey it (Luke 11:28)”.

James continues this theme when he promises,

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do (James 1:25).

God’s desire is to help us reach our creative destiny, leading us into fulfilling places of favor and influence that bring blessing to our lives, as well as others who benefit from our creative breakthroughs.

Learn To Make U-Turns

Many of us may have taken many detours or ended up at dead-ends because we never actually knew where we were going in the first place.

Repentance means to turn around and go a different direction.

When we find ourselves lost, going the wrong way, or stuck at a dead end in our life journey, we can choose to listen for God’s voice leading us towards our destiny.

GPS has saved so many of us by these simple words when are headed in the wrong direction, “make a U Turn.”

In the same way, God’s voice inside of us prompts us back to His original design and destination.

I’m reminded of Jonah, who had a Divine call to minister to the Ninevites.

But Jonah went the wrong way – he went the opposite direction.

When he found himself lost in the belly of a whale, he repented, made a U-turn, and fulfilled his destiny to save an entire city from God’s judgment.

Wherever we are in our journey, it is essential that we continue to trust in GPS (God’s Positioning System) to not only get us back on the right course, but keep us pointed towards our creative destiny.

As we learn to recognized His voice, and obey His voice, we will find ourselves closer to the good plans and purposes God has for each one of our lives in 2018.

I pray that this year would be a year of many fulfilled milestones on your journey towards your creative destiny.

I would love to hear of the testimonies of your creative breakthroughs on my Facebook Page.
